Prof. Dr. Abdulmonem Alhayyani, Dean of Student Affairs met the students of the Faculty of Education in a series of monthly meetings organized by the Deanship. The meeting comes in the context of informing the students about the activities, programs, and various student services offered by the Deanship.
The meeting which was attended by Dr. Saeed bin Ahmad Al-Afandi, Dean of Faculty of Education, the vice deans of the Faculty of Education, and the vice deans and managers of the Deanship of Student Affairs, witnessed a remarkable student interaction. At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Abdulmonem Al-Hayyani, Dean of Student Affairs welcomed the attendees and explained the tasks undertaken by the Deanship, strategic goals set for student activities, programs, and services. He also answered the various students’ inquiries and questions.
Prof. Dr. Alhayyani explained that the Deanship encourages students to join its various student programs and activities. He also invited all students to take the initiative and participate in those activities pointing out that the Deanship has amended technology to serve the student, established the Student Center that offers various services such as subsidies, loans, student employment, computer installment, ticket discount, student housing, student food, disclaimer, inquiries, and other services.
Prof. Dr. Alhayyani emphasized the importance and role of the student activities in shaping the student’s personality at the skills and knowledge levels. He also mentioned the great benefits the student gains when joining those activities and reacting with what the Deanship offers during the school year. The Dean also revealed new services, programs, activities, and competitions for this year previously been launched by the President of the University Prof. Dr. Osama bin Sadiq Tayyib during the University celebration of the National Day.
The above mentioned competitions are the Golden Sail Award for faculties, that would contribute in raising the competition rate regarding the activities, programs, and competitions amongst faculties. My Country is My Responsibility competition embodies the University role in serving the society. The Student Activity Record that the student will get after graduation, traces and records all the student’s participation in the activities, events, and programs presented by the Deanship.
Prof. Dr. Hayyani said that student activity has many benefits of which the most important is offering an atmosphere for creativity, freeing student capabilities, discovering and developing giftedness, and providing a healthy environment that enables all students to do their best. He also mentioned that student activity gains an unlimited support from HE KAU President Prof. Dr. Osama bin Sadiq Tayyib and the Vice President Prof. Dr. Abdullah bin Mustafa Mohorjy.
The Dean of Student Affairs added that the Deanship organizes a number of various programs and activities; sports, cultural, scientific, and innovative. the Deanship also enables student to participate in the regional, national, or international extramural competitions and events. in that regards he mentioned that the University, after the God’s will, has achieved numerous awards and advanced positions. The University aims at continuing its success and achieving the sports, cultural, and scientific distinction this year.
